In this video I show you how to get started with the recently released Arduino Command Line Interface (CLI). This tool allows us to code, compile, and upload firmware to Arduino and Arduino-compatible hardware using text-based commands. This is useful for performing hardware-related tasks—like firmware updates—in 3rd party applications without using the Arduino IDE. It also allows us to perform tasks programatically, which is crucial for automation. E.g., we can write a script that automatically uploads firmware to a board as soon as it's connected to a computer.
