LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
This Library Management System developed using PHP , html , CSS , bootstrap , datatables , modal , javascript and MySql . This project is a software built to handle the primary housekeeping functions of a library. Libraries rely on library management systems to manage asset collections as well as relationships with their members. Library management system help libraries keep track of the books and their checkouts, as well as members subscriptions and profiles. Library management systems also involve maintaining the database for entering new books and recording books that have been borrowed with their respective due dates.
FEATURES OF LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Dashboard
For the admin dashboard, you will be able to see all the basic access in the whole system of library management system, Such as category, author, publisher, book, member, issue book, and return book.
Manage Category
The admin has access to the category of books of library management system. Admin also add, update, delete and search the category of books.
Manage Author
The admin has access to the author of library management system. Admin also
search, add, delete, the author and also admin can update the information of author.
Manage Publisher
The admin has access to the publisher of library management system. Admin also search, add, delete, the publisher and also admin can update the information of publisher.
Manage Books
The admin has access to the books of library management system. Admin also search, add, delete, the book and also admin can update the information of books.
Manage Member
The admin has access to the members of library management system. Admin also search, add, delete, the members and also admin can update the information of members.
Manage Issuing of books
The admin can manage the issuing of books , recording the date of issue and the date of returning of books if when members return the books that she/he like. Admin also search, add, delete, the issuing of books and also admin can update the information of issuing of books.
Manage Returning of books
The admin manage the returning of books , recording the return date of member that lend book and record also the days laps from the date of issuing to returning of books and also record the fine. Admin also search, add, delete, the returning of books and also admin can update the information of returning of books.
HOW TO RUN THIS APPLICATION ?
To run this project, you must have installed a virtual server i.e XAMPP on your PC. This project Library Management System is free to download.
After Starting Apache and MySQL in XAMPP, follow the following steps.
1st Step: Extract file
2nd Step: Copy the main project folder
3rd Step: Paste in xampp/htdocs/
4th Step: Open a browser and go to URL
“http://localhost/phpmyadmin/”
5th Step: Then, click on the database tab
6th Step: Create a database naming “librarydb” and then click on the import tab
7th Step: Click on browse file name db and select “librarydb.sql” file which is inside the “DATABASE” folder.
8th Step: Click on go
After Creating Database,
9th Step: Open any browser then type url "localhost/" then select "LIBRARY".
