How to use campaigns to track attendance in salesforce
No code or apps needed, just training
1 Create field on contact for picklist client or donner. Also make sure permissions are set up so all contacts can be viewed by all users that need to enter the data.
2 For each program add a campaign. This will be the parent for grouping the reports.
3 Next add Child campaign (session) that will have the parent campaign related to it and enter the date.Also make the date part of the name for easier to tell each day Child campaign apart.
4 Add members (contacts enrolled in program) to the Child campaign.
5 Now for each new day clone yesterdays Child campaign, and update the date and name.
6 Since cloning doesn't copy members, run a campaign report for yesterdays Child campaign and add it members to today's Child campaign.
7 Now during attendance in edit members using status mark them here (responded). and to add new members. Add new contacts to the system only if not already there.
8 Repeat steps 5 thru 7 for each day of the program.
9 Reports can be grouped by the parent campaign and other filters as needed.
