Title: Valaris Basic Training
To address the onboarding and training challenge, Valaris launched an enhanced offshore new hire orientation program in a classroom environment, but after several trial runs, we quickly realized its limitations. Most of the new hires were also new to the industry with limited professional experience and struggling to adjust to an offshore environment. Therefore, Valaris decided to use one of its offshore assets stacked in the US GOM as a training rig to create a fully immersive environment for this training that includes what it was like to travel to, live, and work on an offshore drilling asset.
