that is the word I use to describe how I felt once passing that last staircase. because after getting back up and reaching the second wave over and over again, it has all came past me now.
if imma be honest, I seriously underestimated this level. I surely thought this would take me a bit longer than Death Moon. nope! didn’t happen. about 1.5 months total.
let’s start with the first ship, the part that I misjudged the most. when I first thought about trying DeCode, it looked like a piece of cake that I could pass every attempt, until I realized the hitboxes. thankfully, I was kept there not too many times, but that falls short of what the first wave did to me. at that point, I was either getting somewhere or dying immediately if I passed the ship. now I’m skipping all the way to the second ufo since I don’t have anything to say about previous parts. all I wanna say about is that I think it’s DeCode’s most fun part, which is probably not gonna sit well with some people. it really only took a pattern that was easy enough for me to learn and get the hang of, and so I never had to worry about it every time I got there. which leads to the most infamous part of this entire level; the second wave. the most worrying, grueling, and crushing of them all. everything went downhill following the session where I fluked from 51% to 82%, so far downhill that I made a whole video on THAT session. it doesn’t compare to my Broken Roulette luck where I had one more death from 47-58% than total DeCode wave deaths, plus I had a ton of deaths before 47 anyway (BR). despite me saying only 58%, it’s basically the end of the level sooo…
come 2 weeks later, and it’s a miracle of no wave deaths AT ALL. I don’t have to explain anything else about the final session, right?
