Hidden Gem
An exploration of camouflage in an extraordinary environment
This 2020 Summer Industry Course film had a narrow scope but ambitious goals. it had to be 20 seconds, with a moment of discovery, and a photo-realistic style. The students were not allowed to use human characters or any animals that had fur or hair. Students could only have one or a partial environment, and they had to include at least one FX element with plausible physics, and create an FX demo and breakdown to accompany their film.
