One year before the release of this video I set out to write a score to the classic 1925 silent film, "Battleship Potemkin". Living up to director Sergei Eisenstein's cinematic brilliance demanded I push far beyond every boundary of my artistic and technical ability. I owe an unpayable debt to Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich for their guidance and inspiration.
