When applying for skilled immigration to Australia, which visa to choose is a million dollar question. While the answer lies in your personal preference, and chances of success, making an informed decision could lead to lesser bottlenecks.
That being said, while subclass 189, 190 are direct PR pathways, those wishing to become Permanent Residents on subclass 491, it’s not the end of the road until 3 years.
