Anime Waifu Race Fall 2023 (Character Popularity)
Every week I collect information about the number of characters added to Favorites on MyAnimeList.
I only take into account changes during the season. Thus, I check exactly how the release of anime affects the popularity of anime characters.
So it turns out to be a kind of race.
And this is indeed a somewhat time-consuming process.
1) Every week I check the list of characters selected at the start of the season to see if their “followers” have changed on MyAnimeList
2) At the end of the season I start making a video with the result.
3) All information on numbers is stored in GoogleSheets. There are a bunch of different formulas and it is calculated as the entire number of followers, the number of followers per season and the place in each week.
4) Next, I import it all into AfterEffects, there are also different formulas and all that.
