Tipping the Hem edge on the 34 Roof insert
Using the Lennox reciprocating machine, set up with tipping tooling to start to turn the Hem edge on the aluminum roof insert for the 34 Ford 5 window. The tipping tooling thins the metal at the pre set line ( set with back stop). The thinned line, which is now a weak point, then allows the hem edge to fold over at the line. making multiple passes and lifting panel up will increase the angle of the hem edge. In the next video I will show how to finish the hem edge by hand, attaching the skin to the inner structure.
