Delaware-Lackawanna Mid Train Alcos!
On October 26, 2023, the Delaware-Lackawanna Railraod in Scranton, PA received a 90 car unit sand train at South Scranton. In order to expedite the moves at the destination in Carbondale and to get the 9000 ton train up the old Delaware & Hudson Wilke Barre main, four Alco locomotives were placed mid train along with four pulling up front.
