They often hand out fines and big assessments for things that seem unfair or out of nowhere, leaving people feeling like they have no say. And let’s not forget those HOA Karens—neighbors who seem to enjoy reporting others for every little thing, causing even more stress. HOAs can make people feel trapped with all the strict rules and constant pressure, all while ignoring bigger problems in the community like broken roads or neglected areas.
