Ever the overreactionary, Buster shuffles awkward away from Mr. Ratburn after a moment created from his own imagination.
The lack of a fatherly presence doesn't show in Buster's day-to-day life, and really, it shouldn't. He's gotten along just fine, and his father lives a fine enough life in the sky. Any efforts from a third-party to interfere with Buster's life are solely their own doing, and this will soon enough become their own undoing.
Buster has been toyed with for so long, the cats, the fathers, the comet dismissal, and he wants his own time to shine.
Arthur doesn't want him to miss his dad, well that can be fixed.
Buster can go with his dad for some better adventures.
He already has a father, and he meant it.
