due to the war, the most common way to return home to Kyiv is by train, the path for many Ukrainians, who were forced to leave their homes.
when the train arrives, the song about Kyiv greets us, evoking all the memories we've lived here. this song remains a crucial part of our lives, perhaps the most important in all of Ukrainian music.
creating 'Kyiv' was a deeply personal journey for us. this track reimagines the iconic hymn of our capital, blending the comforting sound of home with the rising tension of our current reality.
we aimed to capture the resilience and hope of our nation, balancing between panic and calm, war and peace. through 'Kyiv,' we want to remind the world that such terror should not be the norm in the 21st century and we aimed to celebrate the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people.
