Right in the middle of a rally, Senator Marco Rubio informed Trump of Biden's controversial remarks
Last Tuesday, during a rally in Pennsylvania, Senator Marco Rubio informed Donald Trump about Joe Biden's controversial remarks regarding his supporters.
The words Rubio referred to were Biden's controversial statements in response to a Republican comedian who claimed, at a Trump rally, that "Puerto Rico is a floating island of garbage."
"Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage. Well, let me tell you something, the Puerto Ricans I know (...) in my home state of Delaware, are good, decent, and honorable people," Biden said.
However, he raised his voice and uttered the phrase that now has him on the ropes: "The only garbage I see floating around is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is excessive and un-American. It's totally contrary to everything we've done, everything we've been," Biden stated.
The former president and Republican candidate recalled Hillary Clinton's comments that half of the Republican's supporters were "deplorable" and asked Biden to forgive him for not knowing what he was saying.
"Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but I have some breaking news for you, Mr. President. You may not have heard this. A few moments ago, Joe Biden declared that our supporters are trash. They're trash. He's talking about the Border Patrol, nurses, teachers," he said.
He added, "He's talking about Americans who love their country and want to dream big again and support it, Mr. President, and I hope your campaign is about to apologize for what Joe Biden just said."
The Republican senator from Florida was emphatic and demonstrated his unconditional support for the businessman.
"We're not trash, we're patriots, we love the United States. Thank you for running, Mr. President."
Following this, Trump brought up his rival in the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton.
“Remember Hillary? She said deplorable, and then she said irredeemable. Right? But she said deplorable. That didn’t work,” he said.
Nevertheless, he asked his supporters to forgive the president. “He doesn’t know, please forgive him, please forgive him because he doesn’t know what he said. These people, it’s terrible, terrible, terrible to say something like that. But he really doesn’t know, honestly, he doesn’t know, and I’m convinced he likes me more than Kamala.”
Finally, Trump promised that the United States would improve under his leadership and lashed out, once again, at Kamala Harris.
“This is going to be a very special time. It’s going to be the new golden age of the United States. We’re going to make it a golden age. It seems impossible, doesn’t it? Doesn’t it seem impossible with these stupid people we’ve had to put up with for the last four years?”
