10: Dodge Charger Daytona
Classic cars are always a dream find in any barn. People dream of finding amazing cars like this 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona sitting idle in an unsuspecting barn. This particular dream car was found in an Alabama barn and sold at auction back in 2016. The car is one of only 503 ever produced, and when it was found it had 2,553 miles on its odometer.

9: Porsche 901
The Porsche 901 is one of the most elusive automobiles desired by car enthusiast. These cars are almost extinct. But in 2014, an extremely neglected 1964 Porsche 901 was discovered in a barn in Germany. For those who don't know, the Porsche 901 actually predates Porsche 911 as one of the first versions of that car to ever have been built.

8: Lamborghini Miura P400 S
What is it with German barns and incredibly rare cars? There was a recent find In Germany, in a barn, of an amazing Lamborghini Miura P400 S in surprisingly good condition. After it was found, it was sold at auction for about 1.5 million dollars. That is an incredible price for any machine found in an old barn.

7: 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL (Florida)
This is one of the best barn finds in the history of the world. It was also found in one of the strangest places that you could imagine. This is a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, and it was found sitting completely neglected in a barn in Jacksonville, Florida. It had been sitting in there for a significant amount of time, completely alone in the dark with nothing but dust and rats for company.

Let's take a break from classic cars to talk about some other cool stuff found in barns. Recently in England, a pair of chess pieces dating back all the way to the 19th century were discovered in the town of Burgh le Marsh. It happened while some folks were doing renovations to their barn, according to a report from the Skegness Standard.

5: Bust of Sir John Gordon
Imagine if you had been using a 1.5-million-dollar statue to prop open your shed door. This is exactly what happened recently in the United Kingdom. The bust of Sir John Gordon was made by the French artist Edme Bouchardon in 1728. There is not much known about the bust, other than it was at some point placed into the care of the Invergordon Town Council, the town named after Sir John Gordon himself.

4: Bronze Age Sword
Ireland is a very old place, full of mystery and wonder. Ireland was also a prominent society back in the Bronze Age, and a recent artifact from this brutal and long-forgotten time was found sitting in a man's barn. A man in 1965 was fishing near his house when he came across a rusty old sword and tossed it in his family barn.

The find of the century just happened! A French auction house recently unearthed over 60 cars, all of which had sat completely untouched in a steel shed in western France for nearly fifty years. The find had started with rumors, but upon investigation over 60 vehicles were found in the collection valued at somewhere between 16 and 20 million dollars.

Everyone remembers the 1931 classic horror flick Frankenstein, based on Mary Shelley's famous novel. But did you know that this is one of the most valuable movie posters in the world? And while it was not found in a barn exactly, it was found in a derelict and long-abandoned projection booth in a boarded-up theater in Long Island.

One of the coolest cars in history was recently found in a Vermont barn, where it had sat and collected dust for a full 40 years before it was discovered. The 1964 Shelby 289 Cobra is part of automotive history, designed by Mr. Shelby himself. This particular car came with the Class A accessory package, equipped with a radio, a luggage rack, an antenna, and whitewall tires; these may not seem like modern features, but they were back in 1964.
