SPACE MARINE 2's PVP is Criminally Underrated
Space Marine 2 released with a story campaign, a PvE Co-Op mode and a PvP mode. Since the PvP is probably the part that is getting the least coverage I figure to make a video showcasing some raw games. There’s a lot of potential here and really feels like the PvP could be something great with time. Time will tell.
I play pretty much King of the Hill only at this point since I feel this allows for full use of the maps, the classes and funnels the most players into the same place. This really lets the classes and combat shine.

Match 1: I played as a Heavy Class. The Chaos Marine side lacks a lot of customization options which I hope they add in the future. The heavy class excels at ranged damage output at the expense of speed. The shield is best used when the opponent commits to trading damage head on and to break hard angle holds for teammates.
Match 2: I played as the tactical marine. It's the general combat class. He has access to the largest variety of primary weapons, can hold 2 grenades and has a scanner that reveals enemies while making them vulnerable to additional damage. He’s best used to control space with his scans and constant grenades. Being well rounded you should always try to fill the gaps where your teammates lack.
Match 3: I played as Vanguard. It is more mobile and less armored than the tactical marine but has the grapple hook ability. This can be both used as a mobility tool and as a dive assassination tool. It stuns enemies when you hit them with it which allows you to interrupt bulwark blocks.
You’ll notice that I almost never melee. Right now holding down the trigger with an auto bolter has a faster TTK even though melee attacks go directly to HP and not armor. In the future I hope they improve this balance.
