How to Weld with a Coated Electrode (MEG).
Tips and advice for blacksmithing. Ideal for thin materials.

Often, and especially when we're starting out, welding thin materials can be a real headache...

If we manage to find a good balance between electrode diameter, material thickness, and amperage, you'll see how easy it is and how quickly we can start making good welds.

It's also essential to keep our electrodes in good condition. I recommend starting with the 6013 electrode. This electrode is very easy for beginners and is also widely used in light metalwork, decorative metal elements, etc.

This video is a compilation of clips that have worked wonders for you and have been very successful in introducing fellow blacksmiths to the world of metalworking.

Here are more than sixty videos about getting started in the world of coated electrode welding.

I hope you enjoy this video series and find it helpful 👇🏼👇🏼
