What can I do to stop the freezer from freezing up?!
When the freezer is opened, the hot, humid outside air mixes with the cold air inside. This causes the water vapor in the outside air to condense. It then freezes and settles on the inside walls of the freezer. Because of the ice buildup, the freezer has to work longer to freeze the food inside, and its efficiency decreases.
