Top part of Sunkoshi Landslide area in 2013
During our field visit of 11th International Symposium on Mitigation of Geo-Disasters in Asia (MGDA-11) on October 27, 2013, I had filmed the continuous flow of mud and debris in the top part of Sunkoshi Landslide area. This landslide area was one of the major excursion sites during the visit. A massive landslide occurred in the same area on August 2, 2014 that created a landslide dam on the Sunkoshi river with an estimated 150 people killed.
