We changed the engine oil in a VAZ 2114. Similar changes were also made in Kalina and Priora. Here's a description of the basic steps for changing the oil. I used Lukoil 5W-40 oil for the first time, so I have nothing to say about it. Previously, I used ILF 5W-40 oil. No complaints, it started perfectly in winter, but I switched to Lukoil 5W-40 due to the economic downturn.

1. You should always change the oil when the engine is warm, even if the car has been idle for a year. Why?
Because cold oil is thick and won't drain. But as soon as it heats up, it becomes more liquid, and almost everything leaks out of the pan. But there are still some residues. You'll learn how to get rid of them in the second tip.
2. What can you do to drain as much old oil as possible?
After draining the old fluid, leave the drain hole and container open. Add 0.5 to 1 liter of new fluid and wait until it's completely drained.
3. How often should I change the engine oil in a VAZ 2114?
The regulations say every 10,000 to 15,000 kilometers.
