In this video, I show the process of making a custom sign for my workshop using reclaimed wood. I wanted to try the process of wood burning with a propane torch in this one, and I like how it turned out overall.
However, my new branding uses really clean lines (see the bumper at the end of the video), and I didn’t like how fuzzy the edges of the letters were after the wood burning process, so I fired up the X-Carve CNC and cut out some outlines that I could use to retain the wood burnt look, but also clean things up visually.
I really like how this one turned out; it’s a nice piece of custom signage for my workshop that really fits the image I was going for.
