Energy Resiliency Roundtable
The North Central Texas Council of Governments hosted a virtual roundtable on the topic of Energy Resiliency and Hazard Mitigation Planning on August 29, 2023.
This roundtable targeted local governments and other entities in the region with an interest in pursuing strategies to make their facilities more resilient in the face of grid disruptions and outages. Topics covered during the roundtable included:
The importance of energy resilience for the region
Key risks and threats around energy supply
Planning needs for individual organizations and the region as a whole
Solutions to improve preparedness, including energy resiliency strategies
Presenters included NCTCOG staff, Oncor Electric Delivery, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, and the Cities of Lewisville and Dallas.
