This real life horror story is making headline news currently. It was recently covered by People, who are following the unfolding case.
The twisted true crime story began when 16-year-old Miranda Corsette was reported missing on February 24, 2025.
Police launched a search for the teen, but were unable to crack the real life thriller... until a tip came in from a witness who insisted that Miranda had been kidnapped and murdered by someone she met online. Investigators were concerned that the case had just gone from missing to murder.
The tip pointed investigators of the unbelievable true crime case to 35-year-old Steven Gress, who had recently met Miranda on Grindr.
Detectives conducted a full police interrogation with Gress, questioning him about the real life murder mystery. He quickly pointed to his girlfriend, Michelle Brandes as Miranda's killer, claiming she was a jealous lover who snapped. Investigators then turned to Brandes, conducting a full police interview with her.
The full police interrogations and evidence from the scene helped investigators piece together an even more disturbing true crime story than they ever imagined.
Ultimately, police uncovered a shocking true crime story with a killer couple at the centre of it. Fatal attraction led to a killer affair that ended with a horrific murder and dismemberment.
