The unbelievable true crime case broke after the abduction and assault of a woman in Ohio. After rescuing the woman and taking her captor into custody, police conducted a series of full police interrogations with him.
Over the course of the police interviews, detectives realized they were dealing with a real life horror story. Determined to solve this real life serial killer case, police kept Shawn Grate talking and found a shocking true crime case that was worse than anything they ever imagined.
In the end, police solved a series of cold cases and uncovered one of the most disturbing serial killer cases in the world.

In September 2016, Ashland police got a 911 call from a woman who claimed to have been abducted and held hostage by 40-year-old Shawn Grate. Officers raced to the address the woman directed them to, locating her and her kidnapper.
Grate was interviewed multiple times by police, admitting to the abduction... and to killing multiple women.
Needing more information about the murders, investigators conduct another round of questioning with Grate...
