The 4 areas that you should consider to improve your mental health are but are not limited to:
Sleep - "Sleep is for the weak" Yes if you are weak you likely will benefit from sleep BUT if you sleep enough you will avoid becoming weak in the first place. Start by forming an effective nighttime routine, consider an alarm to GO to bed.
Exercise - Exercise is medicine - The only workout you regret is the one you didn't do...Movement is a fundamental characteristic of what it is to be human. If you're not moving regularly through exercise are you really living life? Exercise can take any form, what matters is that you do something 2 or more times a week.
Relationships - Your health is your wealth and your health is largely down to the quality of social support you have. Isolation, loneliness, and lack of connection are silent killers but we can form new relationships easily through small acts of kindness or the power of social media.
Therapies - Journalling is self-therapy whereas counseling is professional help. Betterhelp is an affordable and effective option that every adult should experience at least once. Professional; therapy is like having an experienced guide to go to the scary part of your unconscious mind you have been to afraid to go alone.
Additionally, I would also like to mention these important factors:
LUCK - You can feel poorly for no apparent reason, antidepressants are always an option worth considering.
I have a nutrition coach who provides me with very sound psychological feedback which aids my work and how I communicate and relate to others such as clients and my loved ones.
I have effective working relationships where I work, I know that these relationships bolster my mental health especially over the long term.
Meditation which boosts mindfulness reduces my anxiety and allows me to handle difficult emotions far more effectively
