"Timber Trail," by the Sons of the Pioneers
Tim Spencer's "Timber Trail" has long been favorite of Sons of the Pioneers fans. Here's a video of the group singing it at the Wintergrass Music Festival in Bellevue, Washington.
The legendary western group has been performing continuously since its founding in 1934 by Roy Rogers, Bob Nolan, and Tim Spencer, and the current lineup proudly carries on the tradition: Ken Lattimore (tenor, fiddle), John Fullerton (rhythm guitar, baritone), Roy "Dusty" Rogers, Jr., (middle vocal), Tommy Nallie (lead guitar, vocals, and trail boss), Chuck Ervin (bass, harmony vocals), and Paul Elliott (lead fiddle, harmony vocals).
