Creative Networking: Dennis Mackrel Conducts Hybrid, Interactive Music Classes
As a Queens College professor and Associate Chair of the Jazz Department, Dennis Mackrel faced the COVID-19 pandemic head-on by investigating the best possible practices for music students forced to perform remotely. With help from various faculty and staff, he has been able to bring back a sense of fulfillment and passion that the pandemic had taken from students at the Aaron Copland School of Music.
