NWOBHM quintet formed in the Teeside town of Cleveland in 1982.
They first came to prominence in 1983 with the inclusion of two of their songs on the Guardian Records NWOBHM compilation album, "Pure Overkill", alongside the likes of Spartan Warrior and Tokyo Rose.
Impressed, Guardian offered them a one album deal, which Millenium were only too happy to accept.
The ten song self-titled album was released in 1984, garnering positive reviews.
Unfortunately the label didn't have the financial clout to promote the album well, and they went bust later that same year.
Undeterred, Millenium rolled up their sleeves and set about recording a self financed follow up album in 1985.
Unable to pique label interest, the ten song "album" was shopped around on cassette as "Demo 1985", to no avail.
In 1986, the band recorded the four song "Metal Era" demo.
Their sound had become far heavier and more Thrash influenced by this stage.
1987 saw their last recording surface, the five song "Demo 1987" tape.
Despite some tentative interest from a Dutch label, the band threw in the towel shortly thereafter.
Singer, Mark Duffy went on to form respected UK Thrash band Toranaga, (after a short spell with a band called Major Threat), releasing the "Bastard Ballads" album on Peaceville Records, and recording a 2 song 7" flexidisc which was given away free as a covermount with Rock Hard magazine.
The band were then signed by major label Chrysalis Records for whom they recorded the 1990 " God's Gift" album and the 1991 EP, "Eden : Beauty & The Beast".
The band lost it's deal with Chrysalis however and split in 1993 with a third album only half completed.
Duffy then formed a new band, Seed, who recorded a four song session for BBC Radio 1's "Friday Rock Show" that year, as well as a four song demo in '94.
The band then changed it's name to X-Seed, and released one album, "Desolation" in 1996 on Bleeding Hearts Records.
