At Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity we know the importance of a strong foundation…that’s why we’ve built our organization upon the firm bedrock of 85-year-old Dick Read’s knowledge, kindness and compassion.
Dick began volunteering with Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity in 1999 at the age of 70 after his retirement from a prestigious Toms River engineering firm. Since then he has had a direct and immense influence upon our organization’s growth, reach and impact.
Visit any New Build, Brush with Kindness or Sandy Relief Program construction site and you’ll hear the homeowner speak of Dick’s in-person commitment to their well-being.
