DON'T BUY a camera monitor - Use your iPhone or iPad instead! [ACCSOON SEEMO]
Thanks to Accsoon for sending me this SeeMo device, which allows you to connect your phone to your camera via HDMI, so I could test it and share my experience using it daily.
I find it very useful, and I'll definitely use it for my night photography. When I'm shooting deep-sky images, I have to avoid touching the camera as much as possible, and being able to view the photos on an external screen outside the camera gives me the ability to monitor the camera while minimizing contact with the equipment.
The pros I liked were its portability, light weight, quick connection, the features it offers, and the ability to stream directly from my phone without needing a PC.
Another very useful feature is that it allows me to record the camera's screen on my phone in real time.
The cons I liked least were that it only works with iOS and you have to buy the battery separately.
