THE MARVELS just dropped an BOY does MARVEL Have a Flop on their hands. Now in our review of this movie we have to be fair, The Marvels attempts to humanize Captain Marvel by exploring her failures and insecurities. A step above what the first Captain Marvel movie did.
However, execution issues arise with the use of cheap flashbacks, a poorly developed villain, and inconsistent power scaling. The film lacks emotional depth and meaningful stakes in its fights. Technical problems, such as empty set designs and unnecessary scenes, suggest a rushed production. Despite attempts to avoid being labeled as 'woke,' we criticize the movie for its sloppy plot, ending, and premise.
If they Focused on the emotional aspects they could have salvaged the story, similar to how "Thor: Ragnarok" successfully blended humor with depth. Overall, the film falls short of its potential due to its messy execution.
