**How I made $58,000 owning my first home for 2 years**

🟠In this video, I describe how I made 58k profit during the 2 years of owning my first home. My wife and I bought the house for 75k and put 20k into the house which significantly increased the value of the home. We gutted the kitchen and both bathrooms down to the studs and started over. We took out 1 wall completely and replaced an excessive amount of "wood paneling" from the 70s (I think that's when that was in) and replaced it with drywall. Throughout the process we learned that it is a lot more affordable to do home renovations then you see on most of the fixer-upper shows since the labor is free if you do it in your spare time. We defiantly struggled with the fact that all our free time had been sucked up by the home but it ended up working out for us financially in the long run. Since this project, we have done another one, but haven't sold yet because we have adjusted our strategy. At the time this video is being edited we are actively looking for either a distressed single-family home to fix up and turn into a rental or turn-key cash flowing duplex to increase our financial stability.
