DoS 2021: The Process of Creating Powerful Data Security Policies with Jennifer McLarnon (GRC Track)
Abstract: This session will focus on the development and process of creating meaningful data security policies. I will share my recommendations for developing policies from the ground up that are designed to serve as training tools. We will explore the benefits of engaging data stewards and business unit managers to construct policies that incorporate the culture and norms of the organization as well as the behaviors of the data stewards. This session will also incorporate data mapping and the CIA triad.
