Rare solar storm brings northern lights far south.
The geomagnetic storm that commenced on 09 October 2024 brought a forecast aurora intensity of 10/10 or extreme.
The solar storms reached the Severe G4 geomagnetic storm threshold.
The incredible northern lights displays were be visible directly overhead through most of Canada and far south in the USA.
