I spent the summer in Ontario, working on an organic vegetable farm and living in an off-grid cabin. It was my first time farming, and I found it incredibly rewarding—working outdoors, learning about agriculture, and enjoying the fruits (and veggies!) of our labor.
Living off grid was an eye-opening experience. I’ll take you on a tour of the cabin where I stayed, which, despite being off-grid, had a lot of modern comforts thanks to solar power. I’ll share how we managed without traditional electricity, including some challenges like showering in cold lake water before installing an outdoor hot shower. Plus, I’ll talk about my surprising discovery of how a small solar panel setup can power everything from a refrigerator to an AC unit. If you’re curious about off-grid living, organic farming, or just want to see some beautiful Ontario scenery, this video is for you.
