Recruiting Clive in Suikoden II? Do this!
In Suikoden II, not only is Clive one of the 108 Stars of Destiny, and the owner of a unique Speedrun related story tangent, he is a missable character if you don't throughout explore the town of Muse the second time you arrive. You need to be sure to go down the back alley by the Blacksmith where you encounter a lady in white named Elza, who will give you two packages. From here, make your way back up to the Blacksmith where you will run into Clive.. It doesn't matter what you tell either of these people, but one you have triggered the appearance of both Elza and Clive, when you go to leave Muse, you'll see a third interaction with involves both Elza and Clive. So long as you've seen this play out, you know you'll be able to recruit Clive later, otherwise you'll miss him for good!
