The wasp attack | What happens when your DETERMINATION is greater than your PAIN
As you can see, this video was completely unplanned, but may this lesson also help you see that your determination can overcome any pain and circumstance. After all, as Paul himself wrote, "We are troubled on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair."
Don't let the momentary pain, this light and passing affliction that may come, outweigh your determination to be faithful to the end. Because the promise is that these momentary afflictions are producing for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
Never forget! Pain is fleeting; all pain will one day pass, but our prayers and what we do for Jesus will resonate forever and ever in eternity.
Going through many difficult times, I truly learned not to focus on the pain and not to give up on what God has directed me to do just because something painful comes along to make me run away. I think that's why this was my natural decision when it happened, because every other time I desperately wanted to run away from the difficult and the pain, the Holy Spirit taught me to stay and learn from the situation, to be guided by Him, even when it hurts.
When the wasp stung me, the first thing I did was ask God, what do I do now?
Do I have to go home and take medicine, or can I stay here? He told me that this pain wouldn't destroy me and wasn't life-threatening, so it was my choice: whether I wanted a quick ice pack and painkiller or whether I was willing to go beyond it, to endure it for the initial reward I had come here for: a new level of Him.
I thought to myself, tomorrow this won't hurt anymore, but I only have today here to be with you. Leave the pain there; I prefer to enjoy it here and now with you.
And in my heart, my choice couldn't be any other!
