Episode 1 - DAVE SCHER! - That AustinBuddyTonePackShow!
README! The "That AustinBuddy TonePack Show" series will highlight various AustinBuddy TonePack sounds made for the Fractal Audio Axe-FX III, FM9, and FM3 and feature artists - mainly non-Fractal users -- from different musical genres playing my presets.
This episode's guest is Austin guitarist Dave Scher! Dave will play some of the sounds from both Bank 1 and Bank 2 of the new AustinBuddy +PlusPack 2024.

The Bank 1 demo section (runs most of the video) features clean tones dialed in for Strats and Teles. The Bank 2 demo section (last 11 minutes or so) is more rock and will highlight just a few of the new firmware amps released in 2023 Fractal firmware. the Bank 2 presets are the new amp updates to supplement the separate TonePacks for LiveGold or Naked Amps -- meaning, to get access to the NEW firmware amps from 2023, you'll need to buy the +PlusPack. That does not affect the annual free updates to your existing amp presets for LiveGold or Naked Amps.
This is clearly our sophomore effort to do a video "show" and while it turned out pretty nice -- we had fun! -- and was done mostly in one long take, a few times you will audibly hear a ROOM mic added into the audio combined with the direct signal from the Axe-FX III used for most examples. (One example is the clean Bank 1 "Tweed Deluxe "Strat Flat" scene. This was unintentional - sorry!)
Dave and I are listening to him play these sounds in my studio room, played LOUD through an Atomic NEW CLR and Red Sound MF10 -- like an amp in the room on stage. In comparison, what you will hear recorded is is a direct recording into a DAW from the Axe-FX III, not a "room sound" played through FRFRs loud, but know both all are the same preset sound, with no post-processing at all.
As of February 2024, the +PlusPack 2024 is just available for the Axe-FX III and FM9. We are all waiting on a future FM3 firmware upgrade from Fractal that is equivalent to the FM3's big brother and sister unit's firmware, before we can make and add a +PlusPack FM3 version into the zip download file.
