TROUBLESHOOT LOADING A BOAT - This video explains the importance of trailer depth when loading a boat. How deep should the trailer be when loading a boat? If the eye of the boat is not coming into contact with the clamp when loading the boat, this is typically a trailer depth issue. The deeper the trailer, the more the boat is going to float left or right causing you to "Miss It". This also effects the nose climbing up to reach the latch as well. If the trailer is out of the water further this will alleviate missing "left or right". If the boat can not reach all the way up to the latch to lock in, this may be that the trailer is too shallow and the trailer needs to be slightly deeper. Or you may need to apply a lubricant to the carpet on the bunks to help the boat slide up the trailer all the way. Once you find the "sweet spot" of trailer depth, loading and unloading will be a breeze.
TROUBLESHOOT LAUNCHING A BOAT - When launching the boat with the Ramp N Clamp device on Boat2Trailer you will find trailer depth is just as important when launching and loading a boat. If the trailer is deep in the water when launching, this will cause the nose of the boat to drop hard when you pull the release lever. If you keep the trailer more shallow when launching with the Boat2Trailer device, this will allow the trailer to hold you boat up and allow for a smoother launch and less drop of the nose.
