Sometimes it just needs only 1 pickup to be happy with your guitar :-). It calls ESQUIRE but technically it is not one.
The electronic is without the 3-way switch and the special wiring for the single coil pickup (1. bypassed tone, only volume / 2. volume and tone as standard / 3. only volume and capacitor to have a fixed rolled down tone)
Pros: Well balanced on the strap, good light weight, easy to control ;-) 1 pickup, nice violet color, dark fretboard, cutting through sounds. basic setup was ok to play
Cons: sharp fretboard edges uncomfortable (I rounded them off), black pickguard to the dark violet color was not my kind of taste, frets needed to be polished.
Now I am looking for further Fender Squier ESQUIRE Telecaster guitars.
