In the build up to the big day between 35 and 40 million real trees are sold in the United States and 5 to 6,000,000 in the UK alone. There’s a lot to consider when buying your Christmas tree, but ultimately it boils down to how you dispose of it and how long you use it.
If you buy a real tree, make sure you compost it or burn it, and if you buy a fake tree make sure you use it at least 10 times in order to make it carbon neutral.
