In this video, I attempt to fix a QTX Sound Speaker that makes strange distorted “fart” noises when playing audio. Instead of clean sound, it produces low, sputtery distortion, so something is clearly wrong.

Distorted speaker audio can be caused by anything from a blown driver and damaged voice coil to amplifier issues or power supply faults. I open it up and start troubleshooting step by step to figure out what’s causing the problem and whether this QTX speaker can actually be saved.

If you enjoy relaxed, faceless repair videos where things don’t always go perfectly, you’ll probably like this. I’m not an expert, just someone who enjoys opening up faulty electronics and seeing what happens.

Expect troubleshooting, trial and error, and the occasional “why did I do that?” moment.
