How to Install Replacement Flush Fin Windows Over Stucco

Detailed step-by-step on how to install replacement flush fin, or retrofit, windows on a stucco house. Make sure to get three measurements for height, and three for width, within the existing window frame (the portion that won't be removed during installation). Take the shortest of each of the group of three measurements, reduce that by 1/4", and use those measurements to order your flush fin window. You want at least 1/4" gap between the new window and the existing window frame on the house. This is a DIY project that will require some moderate skills. You may wish to use a smaller window, such as a bathroom window, as your first retrofit window installation before trying a large picture window install as featured here.
