The 1991 Hackathon: Media event led by international tech organization SocialBoost and impact tech Accelerator 1991 is in the books. A three-day event focused on identifying digital solutions to counter disinformation, analyze data for media, and develop cyber hygiene tools took place on January 20-22, 2023, at Google for Startups Campus Warsaw.
Despite the war, Ukraine is becoming a hub of advanced technologies thanks to the support of Europe and the whole world. The Ukrainian experience of participating in the information war became the basis for the joint development of global solutions with European professionals.
Over 120 online and offline participants worked on the tech solutions during the weekend. They developed dozens of ideas related to automation tools and algorithms, the prevention of cyber threats, education in the basics of information hygiene, and the use of big and open data. Fifteen teams with members from different European countries pitched their projects on the final day.
