Library of the Month: KB - National Library of The Netherlands
We are very pleased to announce the National Library of the Netherlands (De Koninklijke Bibliotheek/KB) as Library of the Month for September! This is of particular importance for The European Library since our office is located inside the KB in The Hague and hence our organisation has a strong connection to this library. The KB was also crucial in the founding of The European Library in 2005 as one of the nine national libraries that initiated the service.
Director General of the KB, Bas Savenije, expresses his excitement about the KB's involvement in the Library of the Month campaign for September, "As a National Library as well as a Research Library the National Library of the Netherlands is very proud to take part in The European Library. This is a great platform for European research collections in order to help scholars broaden their searches."
