How to Make a Fuzzy Sock Puffin Plushie
Hey everyone! In this video, I'll be showing you guys how to make a puffin plushie out of fuzzy socks. This plushie is great for people of a beginner to intermediate skill level, as it involves stitching on small pieces of fuzzy sock.
MATERIALS:
-One black fuzzy sock
-A few scraps of white fuzzy sock
-Needle and thread
-Fabric shears/sharp scissors
-Toy stuffing/fiberfill
-Something for the eyes (superglue and flat-backed eyes, beads, embroidery thread or yarn, etc.)
-Orange needle felting wool
-Needle felting supplies (mat, needles, etc.)
-Pins (Optional but highly recommended)
SUBSTITUTIONS:
To reduce on the amount of stuffing you use, you can add finely cut up fabric, yarn, or fuzzy sock scraps to the centers of your plushies.As stated above, you can glue on eyes like I did in the video, or you can sew on beads or make french or colonial knots with embroidery thread.
If you don't know how to needle felt, you can substitute another medium for the beak. For example, you can use crochet or even clay, leaving holes to sew it on like a bead.
