U-Boat Classic vs. Newcomer: Silent Hunter vs. UBOAT!
After five years of Early Access and 20 years after Silent Hunter 3, a new star is rising in the submarine simulation firmament. After a long development period, the developers are finally launching UBOAT, and now let's take a look at what this wargame has to offer.
We're supposed to experience life aboard a German submarine during World War II, where we not only perform the navigational tasks of a commander, but also have to take care of the crew. Tasks for officers and crew members must be assigned, for which we have various management tools at our disposal.
As a former marine, this naturally interests me greatly, so I'll put the title to the test and compare it to a tried-and-true veteran of the genre.
Will "BOAT" withstand the pressure of a Silent Hunter, will the boat fill with seawater and sink with all hands?
