The 7th East Frisian Freedom March – Wind, Weather, Crazy!

What a weekend! The 7th East Frisian Freedom March kicked off on May 24 and 25, 2025 – with a solid tailwind (on Sunday, it was more of a headwind... and side rain).
Saturday was sunny and offered perfect conditions for all those who enjoy exercise. On Sunday, the weather wasn't so kind – but true freedom marchers aren't deterred by a bit of bad weather!
A total of 1,006 weatherproof participants took part, choosing between 42, 23, 10, or 5 kilometers, depending on their mood. Whether it was a half marathon or a walk – the atmosphere was great and the routes were very popular.
A huge thank you goes to MTV Aurich and all the helping hands in the background – without you, nothing would happen! And of course, Olaf from Hinte TV was there again – camera ready, and in a good mood anyway!
