Oculus Rift Unboxing
For the first time in a long while, I oversleep pretty badly, waking up around lunch (I'm very jetlagged). Unbelievably, what wakes me up is the UPS guy, calling me three times rather than giving up. What does he deliver? An Oculus Rift Development Kit! This is me, minutes after waking up, minutes before having my mind blown.
Oculus Rift: like experiencing television for the first time. I thought I had bought a cool piece of tech; instead I got a box of magic! On my first use, I reached out with my VR hand and was surprised and momentarily distraught when I couldn't feel the texture of the tree in VR-front-of-me.
